Eligible Reporting
- (1)Reporting on “Korea-Japan relations” published or broadcast in Korea through print media, online media, or broadcasting between September 1, 2025, and August 31, 2026.
- (2)For a series, the first installment must be published or broadcast by August 31, 2026, and the final installment must be completed by September 30 of the same year.
- (3)Eligible reporting includes articles, broadcast reports, columns by external contributors, and news documentaries. Published books and films are not eligible.
- (4)Award-winning content must be available for publication on the website of the Institute for Japanese Studies at Seoul National University..
Eligibility
Media organizations—including newspapers, broadcasters, news agencies, online media outlets, and current affairs magazines—as well as affiliated and independent journalists.
※ Experts in relevant fields may identify prospective entries and recommend them to the screening committee through a recommendation letter in any format. If the screening committee determines that a recommended work merits consideration as a candidate, it will contact the producer of the work and provide an opportunity to apply.
Selection Criteria
- (1)Critical awareness of the subject, and the originality and logical coherence of the approach
- (2)Accuracy of information; objectivity and validity of the analysis of conditions; and the presentation of new perspectives
- (3)Practicality and usefulness of the arguments or proposals
