Field Training

Support for Graduate Students

Field training for the graduate students was launched in 2005, as a program to provide the students with the opportunities to intensively explore Japan and formulate the perspectives through which they may deepen the consciousness toward the issues that surround Japan today. The program is funded by Japan Foundation, which provides the participants with both transportation and accommodation fees. The purpose of this program is to strengthen the cooperation within the global network which IJS has constructed, as well as to foster the future Japan experts. In order to achieve these goals, the training program consists of: 1)field research activities based on the proposed individual projects, 2) Korea-Japan join seminar cohosted with Graduate School of Arts and Science of Tokyo University, 3) a guided tour visiting state-owned facilities and local communities
