Recently, intergenerational conflicts have emerged as an important social issue in Korea. Japanese generational theory and the youth theory have also received a lot of attention in postwar Japanese society due to similar circumstances. The third international conference project, "Japanese Society and Japanese Studies in the Post-Regional Era," is aimed at exploring how Japanese youth are moving under the theme of "youth," which has been growing in importance in East Asia since the 2000s.  

In particular, this conference will be presented by several new researchers in full cooperation with the Modern Japanese Studies Consortium, which is attended by universities and Japanese research institutes in the Asia-Pacific region. This will be a good opportunity to discover new themes of Japanese research and strengthen the research capabilities of next-generation researchers. We ask for your interest and participation in this international academic conference, which will provide clues to understand the youth generation of Japan and even the youth generation of Korea and East Asia through various topics and abundant discussions.
