Announcement of “Transnational Memories of the Korean War” 

PNU Research Team of Cold War Culture ( Institute of Humanities Studies in Pusan National University) and SNU-IJS will co-host International Academic Forum“Transnational Memories of the Korean War” 

The memories and presentment of the Korean War as well as the Cold War have multi-dimensional, cross-border experiences, which cannot be captured by an official narrative of a state`s history. For this Forum, we would like to examine the issues of the Korean War such as marginalized languages of individuals, unofficial records and memories concerning the war represented by arts/ cultures, from a transnational perspective. We would like you to give support to the researchers who are exploring the memories of the Korean war and the politics of the forgotten in the respective parts of the world.
