Title : The Diplomatic Support and Significance of the Nakasone Administration to Korea

Language: Korean

The Nakasone regime has been noted for its diplomatic achievements, such as strengthening  the solidarity of the free camp and promoting cooperative relations with Asian countries in the new Cold War structure, and the prime minister's leadership which achieved the above. However, existing studies on the diplomacy of the Nakasone regime mainly dealt with economic and security cooperation promoted in bilateral diplomacy with South Korea, the United States, and China.

Considering this, this presentation aims to consider Japan's East Asian diplomacy at the time, focusing on cases such as cross-approval discussions between the two Koreas. Through this, it will be confirmed that the Japanese government at that time pursued various goals other than establishing a large and small check network.
